I snapped a few pictures outside from our Norwegian Breakaway balcony. Did I mention I want to learn to sail? I know I did, but I think it's my new obsession. Ohhhhh, I just realized that was our refueling barge. lol, Silly Gambee… And please don't blast me for this but I took a pic of the balcony next to us. Yes that is an S6 balcony, crazy right? The devisers don't go all the way and you can actually look right into the balcony without turning your head outside of the Norwegian Breakaway. I will get into that later on as that is a little bit of a privacy issue for the S6 travelers. By the way little did I know that my neighbor was a CC member, but I never got to talk to him. Well we did cross hellos a few times. He had the most well behaved children on board! I felt them only on the last day, and that was only for a few minutes. I had very good neighbors on both sides, if anything I was the bad one. There was a couple with loud children on deck 14, but I only felt them on day one. But all around nice people, I was very lucky.
After this incredible experience we will always make sure we have access to the Thermal Suites onboard Norwegian Cruise Line! Below are some photos of the Thermal Suite onboard the Norwegian Breakaway – May 2019.
I think this is also a good place to post the information about Vibe. By the way getting this info for the Vibe Club in customer service was the worst experience I have ever had dealing with customer service in a ship. In short words he was just rude and condescending, he rolled his eyes and treated me like a child. Mom and I were stunned by his reaction. I guess I can go more into details of it later, but NCL really needs to have a better screening process for who they put in customer service. Out of all our experiences with costumer service only one had a resolution. And all of you who know me from the other reviews know that I am very easy to deal with and treat the staff with lots of respect. Working in the service industry I have learned that it is extremely important to treat everyone with respect. Trust me when I say that I am not exaggerating. NCL has a problem and it needs to be addressed. So yeah more on that later. But like I said lets leave this for another time. On with the tour.
They don't limit them. They tell you they do, but they don't. That may be the case on some sailings, but on our Thanksgiving cruise on the Epic last year, my brother-in-law tried to buy the weekly spa pass on the morning of the first sea day and was told they were sold out. They said he could still buy a day pass on the port days. Whether something is worth it (or "absurd" or "unreasonable") is a matter of personal opinion and individual perceived value. While some might not think it is worth it, we definitely do and always buy the weekly spa pass. We love the heated tile loungers, jetted pools (with the recliner bubbly area! ), saunas, hot tubs, and are really looking forward to trying the salt room on the Breakaway. And it's adults-only, so during those times when the main pool deck is over-crowded or the Haven Courtyard has a high kid-quotient and we're feeling like a little quiet time or kid-free time, we can just head down to the spa to get away. Win-win! :)
4 young people (early 20's traveling together) they want to stay in one room, is it possible? Asked by: mayerr It is possible for four adults to stay in one room, but it may be less than optimal. Many of the staterooms on the Breakaway are designed to sleep four passengers. They are identified on the Deck Plans with a plus sign (+) next to the cabin number. For Balcony rooms, the first two passengers would sleep in the primary bed, while the third guest would sleep on the sofa. The fourth passenger either would sleep on a roll-away cot or in a Pullman style bed which folds down from the wall or ceiling. For Inside rooms, which usually do not include a sofa, both the third and fourth passengers would sleep in Pullman beds. The sofas generally are not much larger than a twin size bed, so it usually would not be possible for two adults to share one. In planning for accommodations for four adults, please keep in mind that all staterooms except Suites or the Haven include only one bathroom.
Also, there usually are no privacy curtains to separate the sleeping areas in most staterooms. You may wish to consider two adjoining rooms or a two-bedroom suite to enhance your comfort level with four adults traveling together. Date published: 2021-04-08 We want to know if there is a go cart track on the Breakaway Asked by: Rhonita NCL has race tracks on the Bliss, Encore, and Joy, but unfortunately the Breakaway does not have one. Date published: 2020-04-17 Have the glassed in the smoking area in the casino like the new ships are? Asked by: davehdude Unfortunately, no. Norwegian Bliss, Norwegian Joy and Norwegian Encore have a designated smoking room within the Casino. On all other ships, active Casino players may smoke cigarettes, electronic cigarettes and vapor smoking devices in the Casino during gaming hours. Cigar and pipe smoking is not permitted in the Casino. Date published: 2021-03-28 What is the difference between the balcony stateroom and the club balcony suite stateroom?
After our massage, we spent the rest of the evening in the Thermal Suite, and what a way to start the vacation! The Thermal Suite opens at disembarkment and is open from 8AM-10PM daily. We found the least crowded times were at night after 7pm and during ports of call, we were two of six people at some points. The Thermal Suite is also great because you have the ability to be inside a pool without having to venture out onto the pool deck in the heat with the crowds. Thermal Suite passes can be purchased at a discount prior to boarding – the cost is $199 / per person for a 7 night cruise and well worth it, or included in Spa category rooms, like we had. The Thermal Suite is located on Deck 15 Forward and has the only indoor view out of the front of the ship – best view ever, was like our own observation lounge! FREESTYLE TIP – Before your trip, make sure you have a nice selection of music downloaded to your phone to listen to with a pair of headphones while in Thermal Suite – great way to relax and take a nap.
Oh Posh (equivalent of Vibe in Epic) is $59 for the week, but then again there are no tubs. So yeah…. Norwegian Breakaway Vibe Beach Club Anyway enough of my blabbering. Here is the Gym and the Spa. And here is the actual Spa, I talked from a couple who had access to it and said it was worth it. I guess it all depends on your budget. Oh, by the way when you enter this area there is a smell of chlorine and it feels very humid and hot. I guess it should be perfect for winter sailings out of NY. Nice, huh? Reminds me of the Free Solarium on the Silli. Jacuzzi rather small. The pool had a nice temperature. Nice view! I can only imagine the movement of this area on our last sea day So for those wondering, I think it was turned off. I did taste the rooks, (don't look at me like that, curiosity killed the cat) and they were salty. I spoke to a couple that told me that you could really feel the salt in the air, and they did feel better after going in. They said they could breath better. There's no better time to enjoy the healing benefits of a spa treatment than when you're on a cruise, especially in the Thermal Suite Norwegian Cruise Line. We booked a spa stateroom onboard the Norwegian Breakaway during our Western Caribbean itinerary from Miami, FL stopping in Roatan, Harvest Caye, Costa Maya, and Cozumel. Our room came with access to the Mandara Spa Thermal Suite along with luxury Bvlgari toiletries and bathrobes. We were on deck 14 in stateroom 14136, next to the Haven Spa Suites. Just a short walk up the stairs to the spa area. At first we were skeptical at how much we would enjoy or use the Thermal Suite onboard, however it added immense value to our vacation and relaxation. On the first day of the sailing we were given a tour of thermal suite facilities and an overview of other spa services that are offered onboard. We decided that the hot stone massage was too nice to pass up, we booked it for later that evening. FREESTYLE TIP – If you book the massage on the first day, they include an extra 15 minutes onto the service.
